Reflexology

Reflexology is a science that follows the principle that our feet (and hands) are mirrors of our body. It is an age-old technique that dates back to ancient Egypt, India and China.

Reflexologists believe that by stimulating the thousands of nerve endings in the feet called reflex points, with specific finger and thumb techniques, it is possible to manipulate areas of the feet that correspond to every organ, gland, tissue, system and structure within the body and this may result in surprising health benefits.

A treatment can last between an hour to and hour and a half. The Reflexologist will use pressure to all areas of the feet that is within the comfort zone of each individual. He/she will work methodically covering all areas of either the foot or the hand helping you feel more relaxed as the session progresses.

Reflexology is non-invasive and safe. Its main aim is to relax the body so that the body functions normally.

Reflexologists will not diagnose, prescribe or interfere with prescribed medication. If you have any queries about your health condition seek the advice of your GP or consultant.
